Assessments and Compliance
Part L Compliance
Our engineers are able to check both Domestic and Commercial new build and refurbishment projects for satisfactory regulatory compliance with Building Regulation Part L. If the building, site or development design proposals fail to achieve the necessary standards for compliance a study may be undertaken and a report issued detailing the areas requiring improvement and the possible methods that may be utilised to achieve compliance. Dependant upon the type of project and the scope of work compliance may be delivered by report, SAP, iSBEM calculation or Dynamic Thermal Model
For domestic dwellings we undertake SAP calculations for all types of properties and developments using accredited software.
Code for Sustainable Homes
As BRE accredited Code for Sustainable Homes assessors we are able to register and produce code level certificates for dwellings. For initial pre assessment we are able to produce recommendations reports outlining an appropriate method of achieving your desired code level.
EPC Certificates and Recommendation Report
In compliance with recent legislation we are able to offer a service producing Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) for all commercial buildings. All assessment are produced by accredited Low Carbon Energy Assessors
Environmental performance assessments of buildings may be undertaken for both New Build and Refurbishment projects. The assessment addresses all aspects of a project from design and construction through to handover and operation and covers all elements including management, energy, water, health and well being, pollution, transport, land and ecology and materials and workmanship.
Surveys and Inspections
With the ever increasing need for energy efficiency, surveys and assessments have become a major element of our work. Whether the need is to achieve regulatory compliance, to improve energy performance, to establish the condition of works and installations or the life expectancy of plant and equipment we are able to provide a first class service. This includes TM44 Air Conditioning Energy Assessment for which we are both simple and complex system assessors.
3D Modeling and Dynamic Thermal Modeling
We undertake both 3D and Dynamic Thermal Modeling for buildings, site development and Part L compliance using accredited software such as TAS or IES Virtual Environment. The modeling produces accurate depictions of building energy needs and assessment of building overheating and analyses passive design requirements in order to achieve compliance. In addition the modeling can assist in sun path and shading analysis.
Daylight analysis and studies are offered for all type of buildings and developments. The studies may either be undertaken alongside 3D and thermal modeling or as a stand alone exercise.
